Mars Soil

The Pheonix Lander's wet chemistry lab has discovered that Mar's soil is mostly a percholate composed of chlorine and oxygen. This finding neither decreased nor increased the potential for life on Mars but does hint at the reason for the disappearance of water from the planet's surface.
